The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police Special Cell have busted a clandestine methamphetamine manufacturing lab run by a Mexican drug cartel in Greater Noida, seizing over 95 kg of drugs valued at hundreds of crores. On October 25, the central agency arrested four people, including a Delhi-based businessman who was found inside the factory at the time of the raid, along with a Tihar Jail warden who was instrumental in establishing the illegal factory. NCB officials added that the lab procured the chemicals required for manufacturing methamphetamine from various sources and imported the machinery.
